ch is a WORD value, however, only the lower eight bits are sent. The upper eight bits must be 0.

Caveats
This function can cause flow control to fail when
GemDos handle 2 is directed to 'aux:'.
In addition, some 'C' compilers use this function as a standard error device. It is therefore recommended that
Bconout() be used in place of this function.
