TOS Design

The TOS is designed as a layered architecture.

The basics : Bios anx XBios

Bios is the most basic part, conserving directly with hardware. Its goal id to the upper layer (which is Gemdos) specificities of the hardware, and offer a intelligible programming interface.

Xbios is an extension of Bios, dealing with hardware that is not accessed by Gemdos (ToBeChecked, give examples, list exceptions).
