Do you remember this great book called
The Atari Compendium? Years ago, some people tried to
publish an updated version with
UDO (to make STguide and HTML documentation), but Scott D. Sanders, the original author, refused that they publish it freely. Now someone
has published several years ago the HTML version of this book on the Internet. The site is still opened since around 2001.
As says
Wikipedia, the term
compendium is a common word that is used for "
a short but comprehensive compilation of a body of knowledge". Isn't this word exactly what we are trying to do here? Furthermore, we are free to use it because it's a common name!
So here you know the story for that name! I hope this is the start of a long and productive story for the
WikiPendium project!
